  • UK Government – Fish Export Service (FES) to CHIP Portal (Nov 2023 – Feb 2024)
    • Role: Client-side Technical Delivery Manager.
    • Scope: Managed a £1M+ Microsoft Azure cloud project extending live APIs from updated FES components to the Northern Ireland CHIP inspection service.
    • Agile Delivery: Orchestrated two client/Capgemini Agile Scrum development teams (Trade Platform and FES) alongside a Northern Ireland-based Kanban team, aligning stakeholder management and release milestones.
  • Aerospace & Defence / Air Traffic Organisation (2016–Present)
    • Role: Project Manager.
    • Scope: Oversees the delivery of near real-time Apple iOS apps displaying sensitive military and public airspace views.
    • Agile Delivery: Operates via full Agile Scrum ceremonies for Capgemini and client stakeholders, managing tracking, financial forecasting, and on-site alignment workshops.
  • Betfred – Gambling and Casinos (Late 2014–2016)
    • Role: Senior IT Project Manager.
    • Scope: Delivered multiple online and mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows) covering payment gateways, football/horse racing sportsbooks, and virtual computer-generated gaming.
    • Agile Delivery: Utilized Agile Scrum across multi-phase, multi-supplier UK and EU-based teams handling front-end, middleware, fraud detection, and mobile development.
  • Al Rajhi Bank Transaction Tracking Project (2011)
    • Role: Project Manager / Consultant (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia).
    • Scope: Relayed and parsed a decade of tape-archived POS and ATM transaction logs from BASE24 Classic into an encrypted MS SQL environment for browser querying.
    • Agile Delivery: Executed via Agile Scrum after initial requirements gathering and on-site implementation.
  • MuleSoft / Hybrid Cloud Portfolios (Capgemini Era, 2016–Present)
    • Role: Engagement & Delivery Manager (augmented into MuleSoft/Salesforce).
    • Scope: Managed API-led connectivity frameworks, microservices integration, and enterprise client enablement via a Center for Enablement (C4E).
    • Agile Delivery: Applied outcome-based and hybrid agile-waterfall methodologies to transition enterprise workstreams into iterative delivery models.

Welcome to my site! After graduating in Computing in 1990, I accepted a position as a programmer at a Runcorn based software house specialising in electronic banking software, namely sp/ARCHITECT-BANK on Tandem Computers (now HPE NonStop). This was before the internet became more prevalent and so the notion of enabling desktop access to company accounts for inter-account transfers and book keeping was still quite a cutting edge idea (and smartphones only ever hinted at in Space 1999). The company was called The Software Partnership (which was taken over by Deluxe Data in 1994). I spent 5 years in Runcorn developing code for SP/ARCHITECT for various banks like TSB, Bank of Scotland, Rabobank and Girofon (Denmark) to name but a few. I then moved onto a software house in Salford Quays for further bank facing projects. After a further 23 years in the IT industry and now a Senior IT Project Manager (both Agile and Waterfall delivery), I thought I would echo out my Career Profile in this corner of the internet for quick and easy access.
